080 Barcelona Fashion Week

From May 2 – 5, 2023 the Catalan capital of Barcelona was the epicenter of the fashion world, as the city hosted the 31st edition of the prestigious 080 Barcelona Fashion Week. The event brought together Spain’s top designers and fashion industry from around the world to celebrate the latest trends in Spanish fashion and culture. Among the designers who showcased their latest collections were Escorpion, Custo, and Habey Club, each of whom brought their unique vision and style to the runway.

Escorpion, the Catalan fashion brand, founded in 1929, showed on the first day of 080 Barcelona with their “Un Jersey Escorpion” collection. With a reputation for timeless style, Escorpion’s DNA garments provided the foundation for this contemporary and avant-garde collection. The pieces included iconic shapes and volumes that were reinterpreted for the present and future. The collection’s final look was a standout piece that featured a tulle skirt adorned with messages, accompanied by a small performance from professional dancers of the National Ballet.

Much awaited at 080 Barcelona Fashion Week was the household name Custo Barcelona. The brand, renowned for its vibrant prints and daring designs, showcased an exciting new collection that did not fail to impress. The lineup featured an array of eclectic and colourful pieces, including metallic tops, dresses with openings, and oversized pants. Custo Barcelona’s collection was a true reflection of the brand’s unique aesthetic.

On the final day, Habey Club took to the catwalk to present its latest collection “Perspective”. Inspired by the idea of rebirth and renewal, the collection featured a range of striking pieces that blended traditional elements with modern design. The looks included tailored blazers with intricate embroidery, structured dresses and voluminous outerwear in bold hues. The brand’s commitment to sustainability was also evident, with the use of eco-friendly materials and sustainable production processes.
