Ingredients

3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups oats

1 egg

Method

Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F). In a generously sized bowl, blend together brown sugar, butter, and granulated sugar using an electric mixer. Continue until creamy. Then introduce an egg, some water, and a dash of vanilla extract, and continue to beat until well combined. In another bowl, mix together oats, flour, salt, and baking soda. Gradually add the dry mixture into the creamy one, ensuring it all blends harmoniously.
