Restaurant Review: Le Saint Amour

Le Saint Amour is a charming French restaurant, specialised in delicacies from Lyon.
Irecently had the pleasure of dining at Le Saint Amour, a delightful French restaurant nestled in the heart of Kreuzberg, Berlin, along the Maybachufer. From the moment I walked through the charming French doors and was greeted in French with “bonsoir”, I knew I was in for a memorable culinary experience.
To start, I indulged in their exquisite paté, and it was nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. The paté was velvety, rich, and perfectly seasoned, served with a medley of crusty bread and a small salad. It was a wonderful introduction to the authentic flavours of France and set the stage for the culinary evening that awaited.
For the main course, I chose the Coq au Vin, a classic French dish that can be tricky to get right. At Le Saint Amour, they nailed it. The tender chicken simmered in a robust red wine sauce was truly a celebration of French cuisine. The dish was generously portioned with a classic potato au gratin as a side. To accompany the brimming flavours, I chose a lyonnais red wine with each sip transporting me to the picturesque region of the Rhône-Alpes .
To end this extraordinary meal on a sweet note, I couldn’t resist the temptation of the Tarte au Pomme with vanilla ice cream. The delicate warm pastry was filled with perfectly caramelized apples, and the scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side was the perfect compliment.
The atmosphere at Le Saint Amour is warm and inviting with an ambiance that effortlessly captures the essence of a charming French restaurant. This restaurant is undoubtedly a gem for anyone seeking an authentic and delicious French dining experience. I left with a full heart and a satisfied palate, and I can’t wait to return to savour more of their delectable dishes. Bon appétit!
